Ruth Zamora, 97 and a lifelong resident of the City of San Fernando, was the first patient to be vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus at the Facey Medical Center in Mission Hills. Zamora’s daughter Sylvia Suarez said Zamora received the vaccine on Feb. 2, and will get a second shot in March. Zamora has not had any adverse reaction to the vaccine and is “feeling great,” Suarez said.
