“College admissions scandal: UCLA Men’s Soccer Coach Jorge Salcedo resigns in wake of bribery allegations.”
Ho-hum … another UCLA athletic scandal. UCLA men's soccer coach Jorge Salcedo resigned in the wake of his alleged involvement in accepting $200,000 in bribes to help enroll two players using fake athletic profiles, an athletic department official confirmed.
Incredulously, Ann Brown, executive director of the Los Angeles VA, is always boasting about how proud she is that “UCLA is a partner with the Los Angeles VA.”
For the record, the UCLA baseball stadium is one of the nine real estate deals on VA property that were adjudicated in Federal Court in 2013 ... as “unauthorized by law and therefore void.”
Not only was it illegal, but UCLA paid an immoral pittance of $500 per-acre, per-month for Federal VA land valued in the mega-millions of dollars.
On Jan. 28, 2015, the VA entered into a “settlement agreement” with the #1 promise to end Veteran homelessness in Los Angeles by the end of 2015 and beyond. The agreement also promised an “exit strategy” for the gang of nine and their illegal occupation of VA land.
As we sadly know, Los Angeles is still the nation’s capital for homeless Veterans and UCLA, along with their fellow robber-barons, are still illegally occupying VA land as confirmed by the recent VA Office of Inspector General 120-page Report.
UCLA likes to shamefully boast that they are now paying 10 times more than they were with their original illegal agreement.
The original grand theft deal was negotiated on UCLA’s behalf by UC Board of Regent’s chairman, Richard C. Blum, who is US Sen. Dianne Feinstein’s billionaire husband and CEO of CBRE, the largest real estate company in the world.
And the “10 times more” they boast of is $5,000 a month for an acre of mega-million-dollar property, which is far, far, far below the going land value rate in super rich Westwood where UCLA is a neighbor to the poverty-stricken West Los Angeles VA.
Clearly, this is defrauding disabled Veterans out of their rightful benefits, which is land deeded exclusively in their behalf in 1888 “— to be permanently maintained as a National Home for Disabled Volunteer [Veterans].”
We look forward to the day when President Trump will eventually learn about the biggest land-fraud scandal in American history that defrauds disabled and homeless Veterans of their rightful benefits.
How would you like to be on the receiving end of his tweets when he learns the Truth about the Los Angeles VA and wealthy and powerful interlopers stealing from disabled Veterans?
Bonafide Veteran activists find it hard to believe that President Trump would appoint VA Secretary Robert Wilkie to continue aiding and abetting the wealthy and powerful who control this land at the expense of war-injured and impoverished homeless Veterans.
Tragically, this is not only the biggest land-fraud scandal in American history but the most inhumane treatment against a minority group on American soil — war-injured and homeless Veterans.
When will Secretary Wilkie accept responsibility and evict every one of the 11 occupants with illegal real estate deals and 14 without any agreements, as designated in the VA OIG Report?
Disabled Veterans are getting defrauded repeatedly including $80,000 a month from a pubic parking lot at the Brentwood Village shopping mecca.
Just imagine how many personal tents we could provide for homeless Veterans on-acres-upon-acres of vacant land at the Los Angeles VA.
Moreover, we could immediately establish a quality and functional Tent City on VA land, except Ann Brown and her wealthy and powerful neighboring homeowner partners of Brentwood and Westwood (so-called stakeholders) do not want any war-injured homeless Veterans on this land.
Perhaps the legendary Dave Culmer, a 70 percent disabled 87-year old Marine combat Veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars summed it up best: “The bottom line is Brentwood doesn’t want a bunch of one-eyed, one-legged Veterans in raggedy clothes to bring down their property values.”
“Save Our Veterans Land” and “Bring Our Homeless Veterans HOME.”
God Bless America and the Veterans Revolution!
