JC Penney Closes In San Fernando - The retail company announced it's leaving the city after 92 years. The store has been an anchor for San Fernando's downtown mall since 1920. The company's departure is expected to be a hard hit to the tight-knit community who have grown up shopping at the store. The city estimates it will lose $75-80 thousand dollars per year in sales tax revenue.
