Los Angeles police detectives in the San Fernando Valley seek the public's help in locating a Maserati-driving suspected burglar, who cut his GPS tracker device from his ankle and escaped from a Los Angeles county courtroom.

Detectives said Perry Pemberton dashed from his preliminary hearing on May 25, despite a $500,000 bail and the ankle-mounted location beeper.

Pemberton was arrested Oct. 25, 2011, and is charged with six burglaries committed in Sherman Oaks, Woodland Hills, Valencia, Burbank and Bel Air.

Pemberton, who uses the moniker of "KP Money" and frequents rap music studios, is a convicted felon and registered sex offender. He is a member of the Grape Street Crips, and is known as a serial burglar who has struck throughout Los Angeles, San Bernardino and Santa Barbara counties.

Pemberton was last seen driving a blue 2006 Maserati with California license plates 6PIX577.

Detectives asked anyone with information to call (818) 374-7730.
