Award Winners -- Neil Borja from North Hollywood High (middle), and Jessica Pfeffer from Antelope Valley Quartz Hill High (second from left), have been awarded $10,000 scholarships as winners of Northrop Grumman Corporation's fifth annual Engineering Scholars program for graduating seniors in the greater Woodland Hills community planning to pursue a career in the science, technology, engineering and mathamatics fields of engineering, computer science, physics or match. The Woodland Hills-based company's Scholars program is open to promising high school seniors who plan to attend an accredited university or college as a full-time student in an approved engineering curriculum. Funds can be used for tuition, books, meals and lodging. The scholarships are payable in $2,500 installments over four years. Pfeffer will study aerospace engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology while Borja is planning to major in mechanical engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
