PANORAMA CITY (CNS) - A 29-year-old man was in critical condition after being shot in the head as gang rivals traded gunfire in Panorama City, also wounding an innocent bystander, police said. The shooting on Sepulveda Place just south of Roscoe Boulevard broke out around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, said Sgt. K. Campbell of the Los Angeles Police Department's Mission Station. The bystander, a man in his mid-40s, was struck in the abdomen, he said, adding he was taken to a hospital, treated and released and was being interviewed at the Mission Station, Campbell said. "We believe there was more than one shooter exchanging rounds," Campbell said. No guns were recovered, he said.
