As a business owner in this community and co-publisher of the San Fernando Valley Sun/El Sol, I too have had enough of what's going on in City Hall. I want to join my voice with the community in demanding the removal of Brenda Esqueda and Maribel de La Torre from office because they have refused to resign. They took an oath when they were sworned into office that they have not lived up to. Instead they have brought only shame and scandal to our community. They need to go! These are people without a moral compass. We do not recognize their leadership and demand that they be removed because they will never go on their own. And why is that? Well that's what we want to know. That's why there needs to be an investigation to find out what's really been going on. San Fernando has a proud history of being strong and we want it to return to those days. But we cannot do it with Esqueda and de la Torre in office. The business community has hope that this city can be turned around. It is small and nimble and with the right leadership can become a place that retains and attracts businesses. --Martha Diaz Aszkenazy
