BURBANK (CNS) - A North Hills woman, who appeared to be asleep when Burbank police approached her van stopped in the middle of Buena Vista Street, was facing two possible drunken driving charges today.
Yohana Alvarez, 23, appeared to be asleep when the first officer approached her Nissan Quest van just east of Glenoaks Boulevard about 3 a.m. Saturday but, as he waited for backup officers, the van rolled backward into a police car, Burbank police Lt. Eduardo Ruiz said.
The van sustained minimal damage, and the police car was undamaged, Ruiz said. Alvarez was booked on suspicion of drunken driving and, because officers learned she was named in a driving under the influence warrant issued in Orange County, she was also booked in connection with the warrant.
