The San Fernando Police Department and San Fernando Police Advisory Council are joining forces this holiday season to help provide Christmas Baskets of toys and food for needy families.

They seek of new children's toys (from infant to 12 years of age) and financial contributions for food purchases. While local businesses and the San Fernando Police Department are giving needed support, the toy drive still needs the participation of the public.

This is the 25th year for the program. Police Department Explorers will help with packing the food and toy baskets. On the day of delivery, Public Works, Explorers, and Police Officers dressed with Santa hats will bring them to the deserving families.

Donations can be brought to the San Fernando Police Department, located at 910 First Street, San Fernando. Financial contributions can be made payable to the San Fernando Police Advisory Council and dropped off or mailed to 910 First Street, San Fernando, CA 91340. Contributions to the San Fernando Police Advisory Council, a charitable non-profit organization (501c3), are tax deductible as allowed by law. The last day for donations is Friday, Dec. 14.
