The inauguration of the 45th Annual Pacoima Christmas Parade. In the inauguration/ribbon cutting ceremony had the participation of Councilman for District 7 Richard Alarcon, Assemblymember Felipe Fuentes, Senator Alex Padilla, Newly Elected Assemblymember Raul Bocanegra, LAUSD Boardmember Nury Martinez, Azteca America- a Todo Color crue along with TV and radio personalities, also had the presence of various former hall of fame athletes that participated in the parade, including Blinky Rodriguez, a former National Wrestling Champion, Regie Kinlaw a former LA Raider, and an array of local athletes. The Students Run LA- SRLA running club, The Boys & Girls Club of San Fernando Valley, Youth Policy Institute and other groups.

The parade had over 100 entries including floats, walking groups, equestrian clubs,car clubs,school bands and much more. The Festival at Pacoima City Hall had the toy-giveaway, arts and crafts, entertainment and resource booths. The Pacoima Chamber of Commerce and its Parade Committee are looking forward to next year's parade and festival on December 6th, 2013.
