A member of the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) gets a close-up view of a refurbished vehicle to Disabled American Veterans (DAV) during a Dec. 10 ceremony supporting the charity. The event was part of the national Recycled Rides car donation program, sponsored by Mercury Insurance and Valley Motor Center in Van Nuys. The donated car will directly help DAV men and women throughout the San Fernando Valley and Los Angeles regions commute to the Veterans Hospital in North Hills.
