VAN NUYS (CNS) – Los Angeles police detectives are asking for the public's help in finding the killer of a 17-yearold boy who was stabbed on Sunday, Feb. 17, in Van Nuys and later died from his wounds. Around 1 a.m. Sunday, police responded to a radio call of a fight in progress in the 15700 block of Sherman Way in Van Nuys. They saw a large crowd, and witnesses directed them to a boy on the ground. Robert Rizo had suffered multiple stab wounds to the upper body and he was taken to a hospital where he survived surgery, but remained in extremely critical condition, police said. He died on Monday, Feb. 18, from his injuries. Detectives believe that Rizo had attended a party where a fight broke out. He was attacked by several suspects, one of whom armed himself with a knife and stabbed Rizo.
