NORTH HOLLYWOOD (CNS) - Investigations are under way into a shooting in which police shot and killed a suspect in North Hollywood. The shooting occurred at Vineland Avenue and Archwood Street at 7:35 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 24, said Officer Norma Eisenman of the Los Angeles Police Department's Media Relations Section. Police went to the scene in response to a report of a man with a gun, Eisenman said. He was described as around 25 years old. "They encountered the suspect in the street and there was an officer-involved shooting," Eisenman said. The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene. Police did not say what the suspect did to draw police fire or if a weapon was recovered. Investigators from multiple agencies were called to the scene to begin their shooting investigations, Eisenman said.
