Police sought public help to find an 87-year-old Canoga Park man whose family says he exhibits early signs of dementia, who was last seen at his home nine days ago.

Richard Dennis Young is white, about 5 feet 7 inches and 115 pounds, with gray eyes, gray hair and a full, gray beard, police said. He wears glasses.

He was last seen on March 4 at his home in the 22000 block of Roscoe Boulevard.

"Young's family told police that he is starting to show early signs of dementia, and his family is extremely concerned for his welfare," police said.
