San Fernando is enjoying a big season so far, being undefeated and ranked No.1 in the City Section Division II standings. But now comes a big test.

Los Angeles View Park (4- 2) is the last regular season nonleague foe the Tigers face. The Knights are ranked ninth in the Division II standings, and their only losses are to Southern Section teams – San Juan Capistrano St. Margaret's, and San Luis Obispo Mission Prep.

View Park is a run-oriented team, averaging 241.8 yards per game rushing. Kendall Tillman, a senior, leads the Knights with 579 yards and three rushing touchdowns on 43 carries. He has not been held under 100 yards rushing this season.

San Fernando (6-0) also has a terrific running back in Daemon Thompson, who has 668 yards and 10 rushing touchdowns on 58 carries. But the Tigers' defense has also stood out, giving up only 7.3 points a game.

The Oct.12 kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. at San Fernando High.
