It's not often a team plays the "game of the week" two weeks in a row. But that's the kind of season it's becoming for San Fernando High.

The undefeated Tigers (7- 0,3-0) are coming off an emotional nonleague win against Los Angeles View Park, and now face their chief competition for the Valley 2012 Mission League championship. Van Nuys (7-1,4-0), like San Fernando, is unbeaten in league play after defeating Panorama.

The victor controls its destiny. Should Van Nuys win, it will close out its league season against Reseda on Nov. 2. San Fernando still has league games remaining against pesky Canoga Park, and neighborhood rival Sylmar (which only has one league loss).

Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Van Nuys High.

The reasons for this are practical: many individuals in these families have a large number of nevi, and complete removal of them all is not feasible, since new atypical nevi continue to develop. In addition, individuals with increased susceptibility to melanoma may have cancer arise de novo, without a precursor lesion such as a nevus.
