The ultra-competitive Serra League could once again be a mess. Three-teams – Alemany, Notre Dame and La Puente Bishop Amat – enter the final week with identical 2-1 league records. Only two of the five league teams qualify for the postseason.

Both Notre Dame (6-2,2-1) and Bishop Amat (7-1-1, 2-1) can determine their own fate with a victory in their showdown tonight, Nov. 2. The winner should make the playoffs. The loser has to hope that Los Angeles Loyola can upset Alemany which, when you include Crespi, would create a three-way tie for second place and leave the final playoff slot to be decided by coin flips.

Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Bishop Amat.
