| Valley Well Represented on All-City Girls' Volleyball Teams |

A total of 22 Valley area players have been named to the Los Angeles City Section 2012 girls' volleyball All-City teams for Divisions I, II, III, and a combined Division IV/V team. Emma Levenan and Julia Erickson of Granada Hills, along with Mary Unanyan of Van Nuys were Division I All-City first team selections, while Kiely Rohm of Van Nuys, Erica Magee of Poly and Shannon Kim of Cleveland were named to the second team. In Division II, Kelsey Horst of Chatsworth, Lilian Magana of Sylmar, and Amanda Park, Andrea Bosnic, and Jaime Wynn of Taft were first team picks. Negin Akhavan of Taft, Gladys Magana and London Lucien of Sylmar, and Megan Hicks and Jenna Koziol of Chatsworth are on the second team. In Division III, Jadira Espindola , Kami Lovick and Alex Arechiga of Verdugo Hills were named to the first team. Nazdelit Paredes of Canoga Park, and Hanna Evans of Verdugo Hills, were second team selections. Arely Rivera of East Valley, Mary Haddad of Sherman Oaks CES, and Amanda Lewis of Northridge Academy were named to the Division IV/V team. – Mike Terry
