Chaminade High under Coach Ed Croson is accustomed to playing difficult nonleague schedules. But opponents don’t get any tougher than the one the Eagles face on Friday, Sept. 14.
At least the Eagles hope so.
Chaminade will host St. John Bosco High of Bellflower, considered the top prep football team in the state and one of the very best in the nation. The undefeated Braves (4-0) are coming off a 56-12 destruction of Paramount, and have given up only 26 points in their four games while scoring 213 points.
The Eagles (2-2), battered 70-34 last week by Folsom High, will probably see the action in the rugged Mission League as a relief following this final nonleague game.
The kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Chaminade High School.
